Institut für Betriebswirtschaftslehre Foundations of Business Administration and Theories of the Firm

Bennet Schwoon joins the chair

The team of the chair welcomes Bennet Schwoon as new assistant and PhD candidate at the Chair of Foundations of Business Administration and Theories of the Firm.

Bennet joined the chair on February 1st 2020. He holds a master degree from the University of Edinburgh in International Business and Emerging Markets and a bachelor degree in Socioeconomics from the University of Hamburg. Previously he has been guest researcher at the Max-Planck-Institute of Innovation and Competition and at St. Petersburg State University.

Bennet is interested in the role of businesses in society. In former work he researched about legitimacy processes of New Ventures in emerging market contexts and the ideational empowering of businesses in contemporary capitalism. In his work he applies mainly constructivist perspectives on business topics. The transfer of sociological and philosophical theory on business topics is one of his major concerns.

At the chair he will further investigate into his interests and broaden his research by approaching governance processes in digitalized societies and by evaluating the societal role and responsibility of media companies.

Welcome Bennet!
