Nicolas Bastardoz holds a PhD thesis from the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Lausanne. Nicolas is currently acting as Junior Associate Editor of The Leadership Quarterly. His research interests span two broad domains: Leadership and Methods. His leadership interests focus on charisma – its antecedents, measurement and consequences, – followership, and leadership in sport contexts. On the methods side, Nicolas is especially interested in applications of applied econometrics and methods for causal inference, using Monte-Carlo simulations. Nicolas has published in several Journals including The Leadership Quarterly, Annual Review of Organizational Psychology and Organizational Behavior, and Current Opinion in Psychology. Nicolas has also been teaching organizational behavior and leadership development classes for years at both undergraduate and executive levels.
