How to prepare for a meeting with your professor or his assistants?
make sure the information you need is not available on our homepage.
make sure a meeting is required (perhaps asking fellows, or asking the professor/assistant after a course, or a telephone call or an email is a more efficient approach).
formulate your core problem in one sentence.
collect open questions you have concerning your problem/topic.
ask for a meeting with an assistant first. If you receive a positive confirmation, then proceed:
make a list of the relevant literature, highlight the most relevant sections, and send these to your assistant by email at least 24h before your meeting.
be prepared for the meeting and make a written list of all your questions.
