How to prepare for a meeting with your professor or his assistants?
- make sure the information you need is not available on our homepage.
- make sure a meeting is required (perhaps asking fellows, or asking the professor/assistant after a course, or a telephone call or an email is a more efficient approach).
- formulate your core problem in one sentence.
- collect open questions you have concerning your problem/topic.
- ask for a meeting with an assistant first. If you receive a positive confirmation, then proceed:
- make a list of the relevant literature, highlight the most relevant sections, and send these to your assistant by email at least 24h before your meeting.
- be prepared for the meeting and make a written list of all your questions.
