Uta Mohring is an Assistant Professor of Services and Operations Management at the University of Zurich since 2025. Her research explores how quantitative models can enhance decision-making under uncertainty in urban mobility and logistics.
She earned her doctoral degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in 2022. Before joining the University of Zurich, she spent three years as a postdoctoral researcher at internationally renowned universities – two years at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto (Canada), and one year at Eindhoven University of Technology (Netherlands). Her postdoctoral research was partially funded by a Walter Benjamin Fellowship of the German Research Foundation (DFG).
