PhD Seminar in Business Analytics & Operations

New ideas, open exchange, current research

Our doctoral program is part of the Graduate School of Business at the University of Zurich and offers excellent conditions for pursuing a PhD in business administration. Within the Business Analytics & Operations group, three research seminars bring together PhD students, established researchers, and international guests for scholarly exchange and in-depth discussion.

•  Following Research in Operations Management (spring semester):
  In this seminar, we discuss recent papers that present important advances in operations research and management science. The course is mostly centered around the research topics introduced by guest speakers. Participants deepen their understanding of the basic elements of high-quality operations management research and develop their presentation, writing, and assessment skills.
• Doing Research in Operations Management (fall semester):
  A hands-on seminar focusing on the publication process and presentation skills, offering guidance on how to improve ongoing PhD projects.
• PhD Seminar Services & Operations Management:
  Provides space for intensive engagement with research in the field of Services & Operations Management.
