The MDTE Group at the University of Zurich investigates how markets, technologies, and entrepreneurial dynamics shape consumer behavior, firm strategy, and societal outcomes. Our research spans marketing analytics, digital transformation, innovation management, platform markets, and entrepreneurial ecosystems.
We examine questions that matter to consumers, firms, policymakers, and society at large-ranging from how individuals make choices in increasingly digital environments to how firms leverage data, technology, and creativity to innovate and grow. Our work draws on rigorous analytical, empirical, behavioral, and experimental methods grounded in economics and data science.
In our teaching, we equip students to understand and manage the interplay between markets, digital technologies, and entrepreneurial action. Students learn to critically analyze data, design customer-centric strategies, and develop innovative business models that create value in rapidly evolving economic landscapes.
