Xinlei Chen is the Finning Junior Professorship in Marketing at Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia. He teaches Marketing Management, Pricing and Market Research.
His primary research areas include New Empirical Industry Organization; Learning Models; Structural modeling of consumer choice and firm strategies (pricing, advertising and promotion); Channel Choice; Entertainment Industry (Movie, video game and Social Network. He received the MSI 2009 Young Scholar Award.
Professor Chen received his B.E. in Turbomachinery from Tsinghua University, Beijing, P. R. Chinga, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration (Marketing) from the University of Minnesota.
