Robin Engelbach David Seidl Richard Whittington Violetta Splitter

The new semester has officially started, and with it, our lectures and seminars are now in full swing at the University of Zurich!

Strategy-as-Practice Seminar
On Wednesday, we kicked off our Master’s seminar “The Practice of Strategic Management.” Throughout the semester, students will explore strategy from a Strategy-as-Practice perspective – focusing on what strategists actually do and discussing topics ranging from top and middle managers in strategizing to strategic decision making, Open Strategy, and strategizing in the face of grand challenges.

Change Management Lecture
Yesterday, we kicked off the undergraduate Change Management lecture, where we will dive into the dynamics of organizational change, explore phases of transformation, and discuss how resistance can be constructively addressed in practice.

Case Study Seminar
Today, we held our first internal session of this fall’s Organizational Consulting seminar. Twelve Master’s students will collaborate with leading consultancies and companies over the semester, tackling real-world challenges while sharpening their problem-solving and presentation skills.

OMTF Conference
In the coming weeks, our lecture series continues with the Organization, Management and Theories of the Firm (OMTF) Conference hosted by our chair – a great opportunity for PhD students to present and discuss their research with peers and senior scholars from across Switzerland.
