We are happy to share the latest publication by Robin Engelbach in California Management Review: “Making Inclusion Work: Managing Engagement in Open Strategy.”

Open Strategy processes broaden strategy-making beyond the top management team by involving employees and other internal and external stakeholders. This raises a central challenge: How can organizations keep people meaningfully engaged throughout the process?

In his paper, Robin examines how engagement develops and changes over the course of an Open Strategy process. Based on an in-depth longitudinal study, the paper develops an Engagement Matrix and practical principles for managing different patterns of engagement over time.
