Research

The Accounting Group at the University of Zurich features prominent scholars whose research is recognized for its impact on academic literature, accounting practice, and policy making. Our faculty regularly publish in the world’s leading accounting journals, including the Journal of Accounting Research, the Journal of Accounting and Economics, and The Accounting Review. In our Accounting Research Seminar, faculty, PhD students, and invited guests discuss current research papers that address timely and important topics in accounting. In our PhD course Advanced Topics in Accounting Research, PhD students and postdoctoral researchers present and discuss their own research projects together with faculty. Doctoral level courses are also part of the Swiss Doctoral Program Network in Accounting Research (DAR).
