Accounting
The Accounting Group at the University of Zurich studies how transparency, reporting, and incentives shape firms’ internal decisions, external communication, and broader economic outcomes. Our research spans managerial and financial accounting, audit, corporate governance, and sustainability reporting, addressing questions that matter to firms, regulators, and society. We employ a broad range of analytical, empirical, experimental, and survey-based methods grounded in economics. In our teaching, we prepare students to critically analyze and apply financial and non-financial information for real-world decision-making.
