Visiting the Federal Palace in Bern
On 17 March 2026, we had the pleasure of visiting the Federal Palace in Bern, following a kind invitation from National Councillor Simona Brizzi.
Councillor Brizzi welcomed us for a tour of the building, giving us a close-up look at the heart of Swiss democracy. As a member of the National Council’s Commission for Science, Education and Culture, her political work connects closely with our own research on vocational education and education more broadly. This made the visit especially meaningful and created a valuable opportunity to reflect on how research and policymaking can inform one another.
After the tour, we continued the evening over dinner nearby. It was a lovely chance not only to gain insight into Switzerland’s federal institutions, but also to enjoy time together as a team in a relaxed and cheerful setting.
We are very grateful to National Councillor Simona Brizzi for her generous invitation and warm hospitality. It was a memorable and inspiring visit.
