The focus of the Chair in International Management is on strategic management of multinational enterprises (MNEs). Our aim is to create rigorous and relevant knowledge that enables current and future senior leaders in MNEs to improve the performance of their organizations.
Taking the perspective of general managers, our research focuses on key challenges that multinational enterprises and their decision makers face in relation to growth, renewal and long term performance. Research at the chair draws upon multiple theoretical perspectives and employs qualitative, quantitative and simulation methods. All projects have a strong emphasis on combining theoretical rigor with practical relevance.
Our teaching addresses the challenges that general managers face in driving the performance of multinational enterprises and emphasizes thorough conceptualization with a focus on real world problems.
We also advise senior leaders on topics related to strategic transformation and renewal, M&A, strategy development.
