General rules and instructions from the Dean’s office to be considered:
The chair is interested in supervising theses with respect to financial accounting research, including topics such as economic consequences of financial regulation and standards, incentives behind specific accounting choices by firms, the effects of accounting on market competition, the causes and effects associated with IFRS adoption, etc.
Students are encouraged to identify and propose a research topic by themselves, as long as it falls in the general category of financial accounting.
A written application must be submitted at least one month before the desired starting month.
Applications, research proposals and theses must all be written in English.
The application includes the following documents:
The research proposal should address the research question(s), motivation, methodology, potential bibliography and expected results of the study.
