Thanks for over 30 years of dedication – Prof. Dieter Pfaff retired at the end of July 2025
Prof. Dieter Pfaff, who has been working at the University of Zurich since 1994, retired at the end of July 2025. We are delighted that he will continue to be involved in teaching at the Institute of Business Administration (DBA) even after his retirement: he will be working at the newly established Emeriti Teaching Center at the DBA.
Over the years, numerous students and young researchers have benefited from his vast experience and scientific expertise in his courses at UZH. In addition to his work in research and teaching, Prof. Pfaff was also involved in various committees and associations: Among other things, he was president of the Swiss Society for Business Administration, president of SwissAccounting, and a member of the Association of University Professors of Business Administration. He is also the editor of the Swiss Journal of Business (formerly "Die Unternehmung").
On behalf of the institute, we would like to thank Prof. Pfaff for his extraordinary commitment over more than three decades – and we look forward to continuing our collaboration within the Emeriti Teaching Center!
