Brief course description

Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), such as universities and universities of applied sciences, are the key actors in training tomorrow’s highly skilled workforce and producing knowledge and innovation. The ‘core business’ of HEIs is teaching, research and translation. Key actors and decision takers in HEIs are by nature professors and young researchers. This course will address how HEIs should and can be managed given the high degree of academic freedom and Humboldt’s university ideals.
