Courses

We offer an array of courses at all educational levels. Among these are in the spring 2024 the following courses:

Bachelor Students: The role of technology in shaping a people-centric future of work (Seminar – 3 ECTS)

In this seminar, students explore how technology will impact and shape humans in the future of work. Designed for students eager to understand the evolving landscape of work psychology, this thought-provoking seminar delves into the transformations that advancements in technology will bring to people, leadership, and organizational behavior.
The seminar aims to provide students with comprehensive insights into the interplay between technology and humans, exploring its potential impact on employee well-being, productivity, and creativity. We will engage with topics such as Remote Work, Upskilling, Ethics, Diversity, and Human-Machine Collaboration and consider these in conjunction with the Metaverse, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Mixed Reality, to name a few.
Students will work in small groups and take on the role of social scientists, exploring the pros and cons of specific technological innovations and their impact on humans and HR practices. Students will be tasked to write a paper delving into a topic of their choice, present an article they read on said topic, and participate in a debate with fellow students for or against a certain technological solution.

Master Students: Leadership Research (Seminar – 3 ECTS)

Students will learn about how leadership research is produced. Students will receive hands-on experience in the research process and learn a mix of content, learning about the current leadership research landscape and how to conduct cutting-edge, rigorous leadership research. We begin by surveying topic areas in leadership research and identifying design and methodological issues. Then, we will focus our attention on designing rigorous research to answer the leadership questions of today (and tomorrow). In addition to practice with design and analytic techniques, students will also develop their academic writing skills in preparation for a Master thesis or other research-related writing.
