This century is fraught with human challenges, as people and organizations struggle to keep up with an ever increasing pace of technological and ideological change. As leaders look to whom to turn to, they cannot find a top-in-class university on human resource management. They cannot find a place that is as concerned with people issues as Silicon Valley is with technology. We want Zurich and, more broadly, Switzerland to be that place. With strong partners, we intend to form the first and best hub in the world to prepare people and organizations for the future of work.
Global HR Valley
Whereas technological innovation characterizes the success of global hubs such as Silicon Valley, Bangalore, and Beijing, people skills are the currency of the future - and yet, there is nowhere a dedicated ecosystem or even a best-in-class university for human resource management and the future of work in sight. A new multistakeholder effort initiated by University of Zurich and The Adecco Group, intends for Zurich and, more broadly, Switzerland to become the first such hub in the world to prepare people and organizations for the future of work.
The initiative's vision is that, by 2030, Zurich is the world-recognized "HR Valley", a go-to place for future and current HR professionals, business leaders and entrepreneurs.
It aims to equip companies globally with knowledge of effective re-skilling and up-skilling strategies and for the rapid deployment of programs to train the workforce around the most relevant topics of the future.
