In the last several years, we developed new tools to analyze complex problems for which little or no quantitative data are available. Based on networks (knot-edge-graphs) with different cycles (balanced or reinforcing) we use various matrices to calculate the interactions of the different elements (knots) with respect to time and impact and for simulation purposes. The main advantage of these unique tools, developed at our chair, is that we managed to merge qualitative and quantitative approaches into a semi-quantitative one, which can cope with both sides of the world – the quantitative and the qualitative one.
