Manuela is a research associate in the University Research Priority Program (URPP) “Social Networks” at the University of Zurich. She successfully completed her Master of Arts in Intercultural Communication and Business Administration with majors in Marketing and International Corporate Communication in Chemnitz, Jena and Paris. Currently, she is a PhD student at the Ruhr-University Bochum with Prof. Dr. Jürgen Straub in Social Theory and Social Psychology. Her dissertation thesis is about the medial construction of identities in social networks.
In the URPP, she is working for the project “Inter-and Intragenerational Transformation of Consumer Practices: An empirical Study on Vacation and Social Communities”. Here, Manuela is applying qualitative methods of data collection and data analysis.
In her spare time, she is dancing classical ballet and photographs. Manuela loves urban gardening and cooking, too.
