Dr. Selin Akca

Senior Research Associate


Selin Akca started her Assistant Professorship in Marketing Management on August 1st. Her position is associated with the University Research Priority Program in "Social Networks" at the institute for Business Administration. Selin Akca studied at the "Goethe-Universität" in Frankfurt, where she received her diploma in Business Administration. After finishing her diploma in Frankfurt, she continued her academic career as a visiting PhD student at the Booth School of Business of the University of Chicago. At the end of July, she sucessfully finished her Doctorate in Business Administration and Marketing at the "Goethe-Universität" in Frankfurt. Selin Akca aims to publish her articles on marketing-related issues in the discipline`s leading international journals, including Marketing Science, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Service Research, or Harvard Business Review. In her time as a PhD both in Frankfurt and Chicago Selin Akca has acquired considerable experience in market research, teaching and presentations. She loves meeting fellow scholars at conferences and doing research but she also loves working with her students.
