The Zurich Center for Computational Financial Economics (ZCCFE) will hold the 2011 Zurich Initiative on Computational Economics (ZICE11) at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, from September 3 to September 11, 2011. ZICE11 will be a summer program for young scholars interested in applying computational methods to economics.

Dr. Thomas S. Lontzek, Oberassistent am Lehrstuhl für Quantitative Betriebswirtschaftslehre erhält Forschungskredit der Universität Zürich zum Thema:"Socially Optimal Climate Change Policies in an Uncertain World: Impacts of Multiple Stochastic Tipping Points in the Earth's Climate System"
21.02.2011 E-Learning-Projekt "Interaktives Lernen im Mathematik-Grundkurs"
Mit Beginn des Jahres 2011 startete an der Professur Mathematik für Ökonomen (Prof. D. Klatte) das E-Learning-Projekt "Interaktives Lernen im Mathematik-Grundkurs". Leiter ist Mario Lubini, Assistent Mathematik, wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin ist Daniela Gulfi, E-Tutoren sind Franziska Siebenbrock und Simon Wesch. Eröffnet wurde ein OLAT-Forum, erarbeitet werden u.a. Midterm-Tests für die Fächer Mathematik I und II, ausführliche Lösungen von Prüfungen und interaktiv nutzbare Beispiele zur Illustration und Erhöhung des Theorieverständnisses von Stoffgebieten des Grundkurses Mathematik.
