How to apply for the mentorship of a semester, a bachelor, a master, or a PhD thesis?

Prerequisites to apply for Bachelor or Master theses at our chair
What Bachelor students should have (done) to apply:
- Successful participation in the course "Quantitative Market Research I".
- A solid knowledge of statistics and quantitative methods.
- The capability to work wit the standard statistical software packages, such as SPSS/STATA or Mplus/LISREL.
- Interest in applied work with real data.
- Curiosity, motivation, inquisitiveness, tenacity and discipline.
What Master students should have (done) to apply:
- Successful participation in the courses "Quantitative Market Research II" and Quantitative Market Research III".
- A very command of statistics and quantitative methods.
- The capability to work with advanced statistical software packages, such as R, Matlap or Gauss.
- Interest in applied work with real data.
- Curiosity, motivation, inquisitiveness, tenacity and discipline.

If you are interested in writing a theses at our chair, please apply at our chair with
- a letter of motivation
- your detailed cv
- grades of all university courses taken (transcripts)
- time when you would like to write your thesis
- specification of your area of interests.
If we have free slots available and if you fulfill our requirements, you'll usually receive an answer to your application within one week along with concrete suggestions for potential topics. You will be invited for an interview, where you discuss your preferences with one of our research associates. If both sides agree on a topic, you'll have 2 weeks to develop an exposé of the topic. After your advisor accepts your exposé, you may start with your thesis. We specify the topic and officially enrol it at the "Dekanat".
