Peter Fiechter is an assistant professor of financial accounting at the Department of Business Administration at the University of Zurich. In addition, he is senior lecturer at the Swiss Finance Institute (SFI) and at the “Schweizerische Akademie für Wirtschaftsprüfung” (Swiss CPA).
The research of Peter Fiechter focuses on both determinants and economic consequences of accounting decisions. Specifically, his research interests include bank accounting, earnings management, international accounting, disclosure and recognition of financial instruments, corporate governance, and fair value accounting.
