PhD Seminar in the Economics of Innovation and Marketing Research
Aims
The aims of this seminar are to (i) confront research students with the latest developments in the Economics of Innovation and Marketing Research and (ii) provide a forum for research students to present their own work.
Contents
To be prepared for the seminar, students need to read up on central topics in the related literature. These references are listed in the syllabus. Students are invited to present “work in progress”. The paper to be presented should be in a state that allows for submission to an international peer-reviewed journal in the not too distant future.
Practicalities
The seminar is open to research students attached to the involved professorships as well as to other students enrolled in the Management, the Management and Economics and the Economics program. The seminar is conducted as a three days intense block seminar and takes place at the end of each semester outside the University of Zurich. The amount of work to be invested in the seminar corresponds 60 hours per semester. 3 ECTS points are gained by attending the seminar, discussing a seminar presentation and by providing a presentation of own research. It is a pass/not passed seminar. The seminar language is English.
