Research

We carry out research in three main fields, namely, Personnel Economics, Education Economics and Entrepreneurship. A special emphasis of our work is the empirical analysis of firm-level data.
Our research projects are financed by third-party funds from the Swiss Federal Office for Professional Education and Technology (Swiss Leading House Economics of Education, Firm Behaviour and Training Policies), the VW Foundation (Innovation Processes in Economy and Society), the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina and acatech and the German Science Foundation (DFG).
Our teaching contributes to various undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs at the University of Zurich.
